BRIEF DESCRIPTION :

Valve Digital to Analouge Converter (24 bit)

DESCRIPTION :

JS1: "The development of the sound stage is magnificent." - Patrick Vercher et Jacques Vallienne.

The power block contains several circuits. The analog stages are designed with ECC 88 triodes in differential mounting, and with the ECC 802S in cathode follower. The direct heating of the filaments, which allows a reduction of background noise, is achieved through another circuit.

The power of the digital section is obtained bya circuit totally independent of the analog system, as the groundings between the different sections are separate.

The immense musicality of this converter is essentially the result of our decision to convert digital to analog according to the principal of delta/sigma processing. This kind of technology allows us to minimise quantification noise. By employing a smoothing filter with a low attenuation slope, the output phase change is also minimised.

The AD1855 converters are in differential mounting and in each channel, attack the ECC 88 triode tubes mounted in differential mode followed by either an ECC802S or a ECC 82 tube.

The analog outputs occur in different modes : with XLR connectors in the balanced mode, or with the classic cinch connector in the unbalanced mode.

This processor, made up of two blocks, unites the fluid colours of polished stainless steel and gilded metal to a compact form with clearly defined contours. Neither dissymmetry nor unevennes has been allowed to disturb the force of this unity.
