Wilson Audio loudspeakers have long played a vital role in the motion picture industry, serving as reference monitors in recording studios. With the experience gained in these venues, Wilson Audio has created the WATCH system—Wilson Audio Theater Comes Home.
This innovative system is design to take full advantage of today's home theater sources. For the first time, your home theater can reproduce all the detail and explosive impact that Academy Award-winning sound engineers and composers experience when they first create their soundtracks in the studio.
The WATCH Dog Modular subwoofer system evolved from the critically acclaimed WATCH Dog. By removing the amplifier and the EQ controls from the Dog, Wilson was able to make the Passive Dog nearly one-third smaller. Since the WATCH Dog is modular, one need only purchase the components necessary for his/her specific application.
For over two decades, Wilson Audio has passionately designed and built audio products that truly redefine the art. Wilson Audio has set the standard for the ultimate in loudspeakers design with the Alexandria X-2, the MAXX, the WATT/Puppy, and the Duette. The same uncompromised approach in design, materials, and construction continues in The Modular Watch Dog.
Modules
In home theater applications, in conjunction with a surround processor's bass management and amplifier, only the Passive Dog would be necessary for state of the art theater bass. In applications where music is the focus, the WATCH Dog controller is the perfect mate to the Passive Dog. The ability to choose an amplifier that best matches the rest of the theater or music system results in greater system synergy and coherence.
