The inner side of the damper has 3 x 6 channels for a wide range of diameters from 19.5mm to 22mm. This means it is able to fit the following valves: 12AT7, 12AU7, 12AX7, 6DJ8, EL84 and many more. This beautifully crafted audio product offers much more than simply adding a new styling twist to your valves by surrounding them in new, fashionable colours. It brings exceptional acoustic performance and function to your system by delivering sound that redefines the tube dampening category. The Cool Damper also reduces the operating temperature of the glass envelope of an electron tube by about 10%, which of course acts to appreciably extend the lifetime of the tubes. Last but not least, Cool Dampers have a strong shielding function, to help reject spurious RF energy. They are supplied with the option of shielding with enclosed silver-plated copper cables in 3 different lengths: 15cm, 30cm and 150cm.
