The Theater Amplifier Standard delivers 200 W per channel into 8 ohms (400 W per channel into 4 ohms). Adjacent channels can be bridged to deliver 800 W into 8 ohms. Featuring Krell Current Mode, discrete Class A, direct-coupled, fully complementary gain stages, Krell's newest circuit topology ensures unmatched transparency and accuracy. The driver/output stage employs 14 high-current transistors per channel.
Backed by an enormous 4000 VA toroidal-transformer power supply, this design delivers huge output current capability for unwavering performance even with challenging speaker loads and the most demanding music and movie program material.
Both balanced and single-ended inputs are provided. 12VDC trigger input/output ports enable remote power on/off operation. A Multi Amplifier Throughput (MAT) feature sends the signal to any or all channels from a single input connection for reduced wiring complexity in multi-amplified systems.
